Get started today!![]() Alexa Her resilience led her to Skyview, where she found not just courses, but a tailored roadmap to success. Skyview offered her the precise classes she needed, the ability to progress at her own pace, and an individualized graduation plan. Most importantly, it offered her hope and autonomy. “At Skyview,” Alexa remarks excitedly, “you can graduate when you’re done. You can go faster in this school. You don’t have to wait for everyone else. I never knew there was a high school like this.”
It was at Skyview that Alexa's educational goals evolved. An exploratory visit to a local college unveiled possibilities that extended beyond high school. “I wanted to do something for my future, but never thought about college. Now? I’m planning to go to college. ![]() Manuel The turning point came when Skyview's supportive environment and the Future Seekers Construction program ignited Manuel's latent passion. Working alongside his father in construction had laid the groundwork, but it was the program's hands-on approach and the range of skills it offered that truly resonated with him. "I like working with my hands. I’m good at it," Manuel asserts, his newfound confidence shining through. "The teacher told me about this construction thing going on... It taught me about painting and electric too. I especially like painting," he shares, reflecting on the program's impact. ![]() Takyra “I cried when I found out how many credits I had. Five Credits? I Thought, ‘I’m not going to be able to graduate by next May!’” This moment of realization was pivotal, pushing her to the brink of giving up but also igniting a spark of resilience. As she explains it, “I told them at the time I was going to drop out. I didn't want to do it. I just didn’t have hope. Once I got the help I needed, I found faith. Now, I believe in myself.” ![]() Ty'Jon Ty’Jon, after enrolling at Skyview, not only excelled academically, but has also taken significant strides in the world of finance through his participation in the First Generation Investors (FGI) program.
“I’ve always been a math person,” Ty’Jon says of his success in FGI, a financial education program that teaches high school students the power of investing as well as personal finance – and rewards $100 to invest to every student that completes the program. “It taught me new things, about budgeting and the stock market, things I really didn’t know,” he says. ![]() IsaiahI came here, I was definitely out of my element. But it soon became enjoyable. As time went on, I gained new friends, found a steady rhythm.”
That rhythm now has Isiah newly determined on a future and continuing to learn, a future he never focused on much before Skyview. “My plan is to attend college and study Computer Science,” he says. “I’m proud of myself for finishing something that I never thought would happen. I am thankful for Skyview High School for helping me find a better view of my future.”

As he says it, “In 9th grade, I played football. When I wasn’t playing football, I played around with my friends,” before acknowledging, “I played around with my grades. I’ve had to play catch up ever since.” Fittingly, as Gregg looks back on his time at Skyview, he finds a fittingly appropriate theme to reflect on: “What this school taught me, is that time is the most important thing that we have.” Read Gregg's full story here![]() Ty“It’s not a typical environment,” Ty explains. “I struggled in a traditional classroom setting and found this much more suited to my learning style. Instead of taking notes, taking tests, pass, fail, rinse and repeat. Here, you get to work at your own pace.” Even though the environment was different, Ty says the orientation sessions really helped him adapt quickly, explaining, “I was nervous at first, but they explain everything in orientation, introduce you to everyone. They give you everything you need to know, then just like that, you’re ready to go.” Read Ty's full story here![]() JeremiahMore than anything, though, Jeremiah says that Skyview is all about the people. As he explains it, “It’s like a community. It’s not everybody for themselves. We’re not made out to be crabs in the bucket, with one person climbing the latter just to push you down. No, we’re all climbing this ladder together, thinking, 'let me pull you up with me.' No teacher, no member of the staff is going to put you down." It’s set up so you can go through the course, take your notes, then do the quizzes. There’s built in breaks to give you a quick breather. And from the teachers to the principal to the counselors, everyone is so helpful. It doesn’t matter what it is.” Read April's full story here |
